1.)What type of racing?
2.) what kind of car?
3.) what size tire/wheels
I like my BFGoodrich traction TAs. I've had a lot of experience with different tires (and I work at a tire shop). I really really like the traction TAs. They grip very well everywhere. Dry, rain, snow, whatever. I have them on my 99 Si (my DD). I had them on my other DD (99 GSR) before I traded it. They wear great if you keep an eye on your alignment and if you do your rotations. They are prone to alignment wear since the shoulders are shallow for grip. They can also be a little noisy/rough at times. But nothing huge.
My 195/55/15V came with a 60k warranty (really nice for a V rated tire), AND only cost about $400 out the door installed. We dont get discounts, but I did buy them on sale.

Also it matters how much you want to spend...
I have Kumho Ecsta ASX's right now, they are great in the rain, I would like to try the SPTs (Summer tires). Great for aggressive dd, but I dunno if the ASXs are any good for "racing" really depends on what kind of racing.
And B serious is absolutely correct in his questions

Kumho Ecsta ASX's are great all around tires. Good in the rain, pretty go for gripping if you like autoxing, great price. Plus the treadwear is 420
I havent found anything wrong with them so far!

Falken Azenies are for hard core driving IMO. I wouldnt recommened them as a DD tires but its all up to you. They arn't bad at all, they just wear faster then normal tires because they are made to grip better.
