What's an autolock? Is that like "the club" steering wheel lock?

Like the Club, but for the pedals.

I've seen a picture of an autolock that was bent out of the way to steal a car, it [freak]ed up the brake... or whatever pedal it was on. But when the car was recovered, the auto lock was still on and the car was gone... So... I guess it can be out smarted, but it will still slow people down right?

that thing is a complete waste of time and money.

They can be defeated, but it's just another layer of security. A thief doesn't want to be there any longer than he has to be. It takes time to get around it. Use it in conjunction with an alarm and kill switches.

Save the cash and get yourself a GPS tracking unit that will really do the justice. Most GPS tracking units can get you about 8 ft of you what ever your tracking.

Bend with your hands? yea right.. maybe if you're a bodybuilder/car theif..

any more time some jackass has to spend trying to get my car the better..

Saying this method is useless is like saying an alarm is useless because they can just cut the wires.. I think its a good cheap way to HELP protect your car.

I believe the company that makes them also offers to pay your insurance deductable if it is stolen with it installed. up to 5k

i had a clutch lock on my car and watched the security cams, it took 1 minute and 40 seconds for them to get in the car, disable the compustar alarm and remove the clutch lock.

so yea the clutch lock is most definitely a waste of money

Man I Tell you all it Will only slow them down. Yea right ive seen them on the Brake so the thief drives with the ebrake and down shifting They only really help on the Clutch but its out there all on its own because its the last pedal they have more room to maneuver so the bring battery powered dremels and cut them off why because other saws take the same amount of time and take longer ive seen the one with the regular key get picked with a paper clip! yes its true and the one with the 4 part key is a little harder to pick so all this means ANY CAR YOU HAVE IF SOMEONE WANTS IT AND THEY HAVE THE RIGHT SKILL LEVEL THEY WILL TAKE IT ! though i do agree with gps tracking systems but i dont know of any brands and how they work and what the cost it. All you can do is hopefully have all this **** on your car and hope to discourage the thief from stealing your car because all you can do is slow them down But a good combo to have is the
Multilock on the shifter with the car in gear (thats means no using remote start)
autolock on the cluth pedal with the sloid side facing the door (the hook faces in so it makes it harder for them because the brake pedal is in the way)
A good kill switch for the gas (because if you do one for the starter not to crank you can still push start)
An alarm with a proximity sensor and the vibration sensor with pin switches for the hood and trunk and also has the pager with at leat 1/4 mile distance (with additional alarm horn somwhere other than under the hood just in case they get past 1 horn the other will work)
With a rimboot with good or different style wheel locks so it makes it tougher for them to even think of taking off the rim 2 rim boots will really mess with there head.
But the worst part of all this the MORE and MORE YOU PROTECT your CAR you will attract more and more thieves 1 better than the LAST and all of this still wont stop a crooked tow truck driver! [freak]IN **** !!!!! LMAO AND THATS THE TRUTH !!!!!!! AND DONT GET LOW JACK THAT **** IS GARBAGE!!!!!!

to say that the autolock is a total waste of money is just dumb. It won't prevent a thief from stealer your car, it will deter them. BUT this is true for all types of security. all automotive security has kryptonite, and its called a tow truck. there is those that say its pointless bc a thief can bypass it. To those people i ask, do you lock your doors or take the key out of the ignition when you get out of your car? why do so if a thief can bypass those?

The auto lock for $50 bucks aint that bad yea you have the ppl if they want it badd enough there gonna get it but most thieves don't wanna be there for more than 1-2 mins, and i know it saved my buddy's car 3x's and my girls 00si as well.

Ive seen the chrome one. my friend had this one (the red one) and its cheaper by $20 compared to the chrome and when he was unlocking it (the red one) from his clutch, the key part just broke .

those autolocks are bs. they have a gap between the pedal. if you kick it hard enough sideways it will come off
