b series vs d series
if you are buying new parts, they are about the same for d vs b
pistons the same
rods the same
fuel the same
the areas that will make a little difference is the head, you have one less cam / cam gear on the d.
and another good thing about the d is you can use b series parts as an upgrade sometimes.
sooo… you need to look at the initial cost, which the d is WAY cheaper, but the power levels you want may dictate the one to go with.
i would say < 350hp go D, more go B.just my .02¢

It depends on how much power you're looking to make. If i still had my EJ8 rather than my GSR, i would have stuck with it and built a simple Eagle/Vitara setup and been satisfied with the 400whp or so that it can handle.
I love my B series, dont get me wrong, but not only are D series cars cheaper, but you can also build an Eagle/Vitara setup for the price of a set of pistons for a B series.
**I'd still rather have my B though**
