picked up my tig torch for the first time in a long time
trying to prep my dad for his tig root test so he could come on site as ASME B31.3 qualified. so i laid this bead as an example of what a tig root should sorta look like.
sorry in advance for the shitty quality, my phone doesn't seem to have a macro mode. lol

just carbon tig in the flat, 3/32 filler, 1/8 tungsten, no idea what amperage since it's running off a lincoln SA-200 generator
that's actually the first time i've done lift start/scratch start with tig. ever. so that kinda explains the defect on my stop.

i was going straight and then decided i'd like to see if i could make a corner without disrupting the 'flow' of the weld. *shrug*
