here latley when i hit 5k vtec engages then falls out and then once again engages at like 6500, it only does this everyonce and a while and it just started to do it.... Im just lookin for some help but im goin to head out and see if there is anything that i can do. Open to and suggestions...

 

check your oil level first, if thats good, clean your vtec solenoid.

 

is your check engine light on?

 

It also depends on the ammount of load on the throttle for Vtec to engauge.

Full load it will engauge around 5200, light load will engauge higher like 65k.

If your playing with your pedal while entering vtec the computer will try to adjust it.
