Default installing a 4-1 header on a 1991 DA

how the heck is the 4-1 supposed to fit? i have tried and tried for a few hours now and i have no idea how my 4-1 header could even come close to fitting into place. is there a certain way to slide it in? or must u take the a/c, & radiator off? i put a test cat in today and have a brand new header waiting to be put on but i have no clue.

if its for a b series Try jacking the car up from the front as high as you can then slide the header under the engine bay, turn the header so the exhaust port is facing the pass. tire, then reach from up top and pull it from that side slide it up and fidle with it around your clutch slave valve then turn it in and place it on the two studs you might have to pull the radiator off the hinge to move it back a couple of cm. but you dont have to take it out ive done this a couple of times in my 98'' gsr with the dc 4-1. hope it helps when you picture this in your head

remove your front crossmember, wich btw you will have to notch in order to make the 4-1 fit, not a very recommendable option, the way to go is to buy a traction bar in order to get the proper clearance but then again it is a bit expensive, but hell a lot better then notchin

ok so a traction bar takes the place of the stock crossmember? and that makes sense and would be a breeze getting it installed that way...i could get a traction bar off ebay and replace it.

It can be done without removing anything if the P/S is already off.

Otherwise, just remove a fan.
