I have a 94 eg wit a d16y8 swap. The upper o2 snesor is removed i guess since it has headers, will i always get a CEL with only one, how can i fix this? i bought the car swapped, and this is my first honda so sorry for the noooob quest...

 

Go to a local automotive store and buy an O2 bung (they tend to call it a nut), drill a hole on your header to match the size of the O2 sensor bung, weld or have an exhaust shop weld it on there for you. screw in your secondary O2 and problem solved. No more CEL.

Just an FYI. I don't know why people buy bungs online for $5-10 a piece when the automotive stores sells them for under $1.50 a piece.

 

hmm typpically headers still have a 02 bung on them.

 

Thank you veryyyy much... it does have what seems to be a bung, with a bolt screwd in and welded shut, ill just pick a new spot and Get to drilling.. thanks again!

 

also, where does the o2 sensor plug into ? my car is a disaster, and has a couple of plugs that could be the candidate...is it located near the distributor?
