Wind noise
Hey guys,
I got an '07 Si Sedan and have been noticing a whole lot of wind noise coming from the front driver and passenger windows.
Do any of you guys have this issue?
I did show them the weather seal around the front right door and they're ordering a new one. I wonder if both need to be replaced. Driver and passenger side.
While I'm at it.
I had posted or responded on the windshield creaking about a month ago. Took the car to the dealer for the 10K service and went for a ride with the workshop foreman. He did hear the noise and they pulled the plastic cowl by the wipers and put some sticky foam stuff. Didn't do crap.
The creaks are still there.
I'll give them another try to figure out how to fix this annoying creaking noise after that I'll have the replace the windshield which I actually mentioned and they didn't mind.
'07 Civic Si - Fiji Blue (K&N drop in filter)
Had a '05 Accord EX-V6
(lowered with H&R springs, H&R wheel spacers, Neuspeed stress bar, Comptech rear sway bar). Missed it.

Just an FYI, but one of the 2008 LX models I test drove had this issue. The two others I test drove as well as the one I purchased did not have this issue.

Thanks si92hb.
Anyone else?
I'm talking about the new Civic body style. It's so annoying having the wind noise from both sides of the front doors.
I will definitely ask the dealer to replace the weatherstrips around both the front doors. I actually did a test where I taped over the outside of the passenger door where it comes down and then turns straight down. Thought maybe the wind was coming thru there. Test drove it but nothing still had the noise. I just don't get where it's coming from.
There's got to be others out there that have this issue. Anyone? Anyone find a fix?
Hey si92hb, do you have the windshield creaking issue that people have posted on here? Thanks again for your feedback.

do you mean pull the windshield and get it reinstalled?
i noticed some other people on the forum had similar issues reported.
thanks for the info.
the sound definitely sounds like it's coming from the inside area where the windshield meets the dash. and i have noticed that they have installed some type of foam across the entire dash.

Actually the creaking proved to be the cowl just in front of the windshield. Between the hood and windshield. They replaced the cowl and the noise is gone. No more creaking.
As far as the wind noise. It was noticeable on the front passenger door. They replaced the weatherstrip around the door and the noise was minimized quite a bit. It's not the way it was before. The car is a lot quiter now. It's not like the '05 Accord I had but it's much better. That's to be expected I guess. Totally different cars.
Well, that's what I got so far. So for anyone that might have creaking up front by the dash area ask the dealer to look at the plastic cowl. The windshield washer sprayers are part of the cowl.

hi i also have sedan si 07 and lately i been hearing noises coming from the passenger side window. Both of my weather seals in the front doors were never assembled correctly because you see ends flapping outside. I went to the dealership to and showed it to them. They did nothing. I also showed them the panel below the seatbell on the passenger side popping loose. Once again they did nothing. I went to different dealership nothing and I told them specifically that they might have to replace it because popping it back in won't help, they think i'm like an idiot or something. I'm pretty sure there is something wrong the windows because you hear the rattling noise if the window is down and I asked people just to make sure if it is a problem and they said yes, it shouldn't make a rattling noise. So frustrated
