Sup guys my friend has a 3rd gen integra ls. his car does not start. it cranks but won't turn over. I wanted to know where I begin. I 've read that it's either an ignition or fuel problem usually but I don't know where to begin to solve this problem. Please if you guys could tell me what to look for/change that would be great. i recently had a problem like this with my 3rd gen ..i did smell gas so i knew the problem was electrical..after i noticed that i was not getting any spark ... i changed my ignition coil and that solved the problem...i had already put new plugs and wires and distributor cap in the engine.. but you should start with the simple stuff first like check for spark... or testing the fuel system

 

Turn the car on to see if you have any gas coming... Most likely its your dizzy.

 

so how do I check for spark if that's the first step in diagnosing the problem? Then after that how do I check if its a fuel problem.
