ok i had a bad starter im my newest project. (93 civic ex) so i went and got a new one from work (Advance) and threw it in. the starter would engage and spin but the car wouldnt crank...all you hear is the starter spin and it sounds like its just not catching the torque converter. i went back to work and got the starter AND battery tested...both good...
no blown fuses
everything looks tight
no corrosion
still have no idea...any help would be awesome?
thanks.

This has happened to a bunch of b16a's i've built. try loosening the bolts that hold the starter on and moving the starter towards the flexplate (not the torque converter like you said). there should be a little play in it, but move it as close to the flexplate as you can. this should solve your problem.
