Default GOOD STORY ABOUT STOLEN RIMS

hey I had a 2000 civic ex with si rims. 1 new years we were having a party and the one dude walks out and sees my car like way slanted. He comes inside and asks me if that is my car with stolen rime. I was shocked. I walked out and sure enough my si rims were gone. The car was parked like right in front of the entrance of the building. It took them like couple minuits to drive off with the rims. My buddy said to search craigslist because you may have a chance to get them back. I did that for the next 2 months. I looked at a bunch of sets . I knew my set. Finally I looked at one set and I found my rims. I told my friends brother that was a BIG dude to help me out. I told the "owner" of the rime that I want to buy them. We met at a parking lot and my friends brother drove up on his car and blocked the "owner" of the rims right in the back so he had no way out. Friends brother asked him" whats your name"? He said his name. That dude asked him and he said" It dont matter". He said and told him that the rims are stolen and this is the real owner and this and that. THe "owner" of the rims got red and scared. He was a little russian dude. He garbed him, picked him up and told him that if u say 1 word about the rims that they not stolen, you will not be a happy camper(in a nice way). I swapped the rims into my truck and zoooooomed off. Those guys talked for a while and also left. If they were not my rims and I lied, he would of found me and stole the car and burnt it or somethin.

BTW I had no wheel locks I was thinkin to get some though

So yea I got very lucky but hey thats not as bad as getting a car stollen or a nice type-R stolen or somethin JDM.

TIP: Always have some mark on you jdm parts or rims or whatever. Even some initials in the corner would help you and the cops for prof. Just search craigslist and be carefull!!!!!!!!!!

WHAT U GUYS THINK?

Wheel locks are a good idea, but they're not always effective. Some are better than others. But with enough time, they'll probably get through them.

Now get yourself some wheel locks and an alarm, backup battery, tilt sensor, and maybe even a motion sensor, and your rims will be safe from then on.

You got lucky and its good to hear a happy story once in a while. My wheels have been gone since November and sitll have yet to appear. They are easy to spot to four spokes...

So how exactly do you know they're yours?

If I were to steal something from someone and be threatening, I would not be surprised (well, if I were a big guy) if he did not find me or my car and enact revenge.

Why does it matter the ethnicity of the thief? Glad you got them back I guess. Invest in locks.

This seems to be more and more common, its too much work and the thieves get frustrated.

hahahaha nah! let that sucker live.........but hey my friends brother scared the crap out of him I mean he grabbed him by the shirt and raised him off the ground because that dude started trippin that the rims are not his and blah blah blah so he grabbed him, raised him off the ground and put him to a tree. At that time I swapped the rims and left and they had a good talk
