Default Considering which suspension

Hi all
I'm new at this whole tuning thing and was hoping you guys could help me out.
I have a 96 civic coupe. I wanna upgrade my suspension. Well everywhere i look online everone reccomends the yellow koni's and GC mix. I asked some friends who are helpin me with my car and they're suggesting to go with the Tein super street suspension kit or JIC. So i am thourougly confused.
So i guess what would you guys reccomend and also what would you say would be the difference between the two?

Honestly, your intended use of the car, and your priorities concerning the ride would make one setup better than another. But, without those, it would just be "I like this brand" replies, and not much real help to you.

I looked at both Tein and GC/Koni before buying. Since my intended use is daily driver / autocross / HPDE use, performance mattered more than ride quality. Tein just does not provide anything even close to the rates that would be reasonable for my goals, and I ended up with Konis and GC, and have been very happy.

If I had only wanted to dump the car for cosmetics without concern for actual performance or ride quality, I probably would have ended up with the Teins, as their rates seemed better suited for that purpose. Way too much front spring bias for any real auto-x use and way too stiff for daily driver comfort.

So ended up getting the Koni/GC combo an put it on my car. I've seen bunches of camber kits such as the ones by skunk 2 an such but anyone know about any caster adjustment kits? I'm doing an alignment and it's way off.

If you do a lot of Autocross, I would recommend buying camber kits, beside that, they are not worth buying. Just correct the toe from your suspension and you should be good.

If your caster is "way off", something is bent. Don't try fixing a real problem with a band aid solution, find what's bent and replace it. Start with the side further off from stock, and check both the UCA and LCA.

It could also be the subframe has shifted, which would throw camber and caster off, but thats not something that moves on its own. You usually have to get into a serious accident for that to happen.

Though, to actually answer the question, Whiteline makes a "caster kit" for the car. It consists of longer LCA bolts, and shims. Won't work if you're using Si LCAs, as they are one piece instead of 2.

I hope you're talking about adding negative camber if you recommend a camber kit for autocross. If you're talking about reducing negative camber, that will make the car handle worse, most especially during autocross.
