My friend's 97 Civic HX got stolen yesterday. Newark (NJ) police found it about 4 hours later somewhat stripped. The motor is still there, rims are gone, stereo (headunit, speakers, sub, XM radio receiver) gone, center of dash destroyed, interior paneling destroyed, intake, and strut bar gone.

Not too bad considering most of the Civic thefts recovered are totally stripped. The interior and motor were still there. Lucky for him, he still had his stock HX motor and interior. Aftermarket shocks/springs were still on there.







Thieves must die.

That's wierd, did the thieves give him a free set of dookies? Sucks about the stereo, that's why i'm pimpin the si cd player, nobody wants it.

 

WTF did they pull up the sill plate panels for? Maybe the dumb bastards thought there was some buried treasure under there?

 

Doh... I see... The kick panels are gone... Gotta pull those up to get the kicks out...

One of my friends got his HX stolen also. Found it stripped. Sucks...

 

Sorry to hear about your friends car....Glad to hear nothing to major was taken like the motor....My friends 95 DX coupe was stolen...they left everything..I guess they didnt have time after they totalled it into the tree

Thanks guys. I'll tell my friend about this post. He's on HT, but he rarely visits.

I dunno about the sills. I think because the alarm brain was there. Lucky for him, he didn't get the GSR motor that I was pushing him to get recently.

He also only has liability so he was lucky he got anything back at all.
