5w-30 is what acura recommends, so stick to it.

10w-30 will give better protection, especially in warmer months.

5w-30 will flow a little more freely, but your not gonna feel any difference between the 2.

i use 10w30, just cause i like my motor to get lubed. i used castrol synth blend in my ls with 130k, it works just fine, and doesnt burn as much as the conventional i used.

I agree with the Mobil 1, 5w-30 full synthetic. I live in So Cal where the weather is hot but I still believe that if Acura recommends it, stick with it. You could also go with Red Line synthetic, but that costs more and besides, Mobil 1 is good enough.

10-40 works good for turbo applications with about that mileage. 5-30 is good for new low mileage motors.

wow you people are so new.

5w30 and 10w30 are both a 30 weight motor oil at running temperature. The only time they are different is when they are cold. thus the "5w" or 10w"

if your car burns/uses/leaks motor oil do not use a synthetic. it will just burn/use/leak oil twice as fast.

how well a motor oil lubricates is not dictated by viscosity. viscosity is the speed at which liquid flows. a higher viscosity motor oil takes longer to pressurize and reach the cylinder head/turbo charger. im not looking to get into a debate as to which brand is better... so simply put... all motor oil viscosities from brand x lubridate equally... the difference is ONLY the viscosity and how fast/slow it moves.

so in the end it's your choice. IMO synthetic motor oils are a waste on factory internal engines unless OEM specified.

If you look in the factory manual 5w-30 or 10w-30 work for your car. High mileage I usually swap to 10w-30 as it is heavier.
