Default Just got my 404s

ok guys im getting ready to put my motor in heres the setup

b18a1
81mm srp 10:5:1
eagle rods
acl race bearings
.074 head gasket
pnp head valve job brian crower springs and retainers and the 404s

but i wanted to know to i need timing gears i hear alot of people useing cam gears to make it idle but im tuning it so it should idle right ??? and what are you guys setting you lash too???

Yes, get cam gears so you can adjust the cams properly for tuning....and valve lash should be set to specifications set by the manufacturer. The cams should come with a sheet that tells you what it needs to be at. Otherwise call crower or check their website for the proper specs.

Talk to you tuner, now a days tuners won't even touch the cam gears because the small gains you see, over the amount your paying for the tune.

forgot to add that i am a tuner lol sorry i have heard of people tuning the idle w/o cam gears and this is on boost to
