Will this tranny fit my 96 accord? Help
Whats good honda-tech...i have a 96 auto honda accord and my motor is a stock f22, my tranny seems like its gona take a big crap on me soon....my question is: Can an auto tranny from the 90-93 accord fit my motor? Will there be any necessary modifications to get it done? I know the H and F stuff is interchangeable..so i'm thinkin that this tranny will bolt right up...help me out Honda-tech!
it's gonna bolt in fine...
you may run into a problem when it come's to controlling the trasmission. i'm pretty sure the 96 trans gets signals from the PCM entirely, but the 93 trans has a cable that runs to the throttle linkage.
with a little research you may be able to work out a solution that will make it work. but if i were in your place, i would take this oppertunity to upgrade to a manual trans. you'll find more solid research on the topic, and have a more reliable car in the end.
