Won't start
Hi guys
First of all, i'm sorry for the last post I posted in the wrong section.
second, here my problem...my car shut off on me last night in the blue while I was charging the freon half way and it won't start back up.
I spent all day today searching for the remedy to this problem and troubleshooting on the car. Checked all the fuses and are all good, the main relay is clicking and fuel prime loud and clear as usual.
spark plugs are good condition replaced a few month ago and tried different wires, rotor and cap but no spark.
After all of that, I tore up the distributor to the coil and ICM. Tested according to the helm manual and all the voltage are present about 10 to 11 volts.
Here is my question, on the ignition coil, according to the helm the resistance should be around 0.4 to 0.6 one way and 22k to 34K when swap the polarity, but my meter was reading 0.9 to 1.0 both direction. Is this mean bad coil or I didn't get the specs right for my motor? Like I say all the voltage are present. I have jdm h22a, with internal coil. on the motor read 94. No one around here carry dizzy with internal coil. Is in any way I can just replace the coil even its internal?
I need to know if my testing and reading are correct before I went out and spend on another distributor.
Thanks for reading and any advice.

Yes you can replace just the coil. Any parts store should have one. Second, that resistance check isn't always the best way to check the coil. That will tell you if you have a broke wire inside the coil but thats about it in my book. Pull your cap off and check the spring that goes inside the coil . . . where it connects the coil to the dist. cap. They are bad about getting burnt up. It may not be your coil though. If your not getting spark it could be; crank pos sen. ignitor (or ign. control module).
Thanks for your time, i've not think about that crank position sensor. i'll do some more research on that and do some more testing tomorrow. yeah the coil spring is in good shape.
I've no idea why the part store can't find one, maybe I didn't get the car model right or something. jdm h22a with 94 mark on the head.
I check on 94 accord and prelude all they pulled put was external coil one not internal coil. thanks again

I believe some usdm engines (civic or accord) used internal coil. Search this forum's archived threads for internal coil and you should get some info. Distributorking sells internal coil distributors, so they may be able to sell you just the coil if that's what you need.
Thanks for all the advices, I got it running now. It was the coil. I went and got the distributor out of 96 accord VTEC and swaped the coil and there she goes grouoom!! grooum!!
