Are 195/50 too small on stock wheels???

Are 195/50 too small on ITR 15/6 stock wheels?? Will this affect performance on my ITR / or improve (cause of the smaller diameter) ?

I used 195-50 Yokohama AVS intermediates on my ITRs stock wheels and they performed great. It probably depends on the tire but the AVS-i tires were awesome for the price.
