Searched through the FAQ's, still need to clarify an axle question.
I have a 1988 CRX HF, but with an Si transmission. Needs a new passenger side CV.
I don't know what year the tranny is, but if we assume it's from an 88 also, I can just use a stock HF axle, right?
If I try putting in the HF axle and it doesn't fit, does that mean I need to put a tranny side Si boot/bearings/etc.., and a hub side HF setup?
That's what I'm getting, but I just want to clarify.

Yea see thats what I was thinking. I'll be changing to Si hubs in the future, but right now I just want a easy fix.
Because in '88, I think all three models had the same spline count in the transmission.

all you gotta do is measure your axles diameter wise. i believe u need the one from a STD model. some DX and Si axles were thicker than the HF axles. just take your old axle to the shop where u are gonna buy ur new axles and measure them.
