Hey today i decided to clean up my engine bay and degrease the motor. taped off dizzy, dizzy connectors, etc. thought i was good. did my cleaning job.
pulled the spark plug wires and had water in #1 and #2 cylinders, so i dried it all out. went to start my car to put it in the garage, and it doesnt run right at all. sounds and feels like its missing. so i checked the code, and its code 3- map sensor. so i unplugged it and dried it out, reset ecu. same code and still runs crappy. whats wrong? help, this is my DD!

 

someone answer please! i can drive it and it sputters. after driving for a min, it will run ok without getting on it, and when i floor it and hit vtec, it sputters again. then after driving for like 10 min getting on it, it will smooth out and it runs and hits vtec just fine.

 

Might just have to let things dry out.

 

did you leave the car on?

 

no that was probably my problem. oh well its all good not. i went in with a hair dryer and dried all the wires and let it just sit all night. started it this morning and has ran fine ever since.
