need shorter alternator belt for integra
i need a shorter alternator belt for my b18c. I have an OEM crank pulley that has a smaller diameter than my stock pulley. the original belt is too long and i can't tighten it anymore because the bolt is already as far back as it can be adjusted. i can hear it squeal. is there a shorter belt i can use?
Original belt length is 31 inches with 4 ribs. If you go to autozone or kragen part number is 310K4
310 = 31.0 inches
K4 or sometime R4 = 4 ribs
If you want 1 inch shorter ask for a 300K4

oh nice.. are these parts made for honda or are they just generic belts with arbitary length and ribs? thanks man.. that info helps a lot! now i dun have to go through the trouble of swapping crankpulleys
I'd get a 30.5" and a 30.0" belt and return the one you can't use. If you're using an ITR crankshaft pulley, then it could be in between the .5" increments that U.S. belt manufacturers provide.
ok.. i am gonna get 3 of them. 29.5", 30", and 30.5". ordered online from autozone. the retail stores don't carry them in stock and are special order items. does anyone know if they come in a sealed packaging? i want to know if I'll be able to return them in resaleable condition. for those with experience with purchasing belts from autozone, please give your input. thank you!
They come folded over and tucked into a cardboard sleeve. It looks like a hot pocket, only you can't eat the belt.

I acquired a 150 amp alternator that came with a 61.5mm diameter pulley, instead of 66.0 mm on the stock 90 amp alternator.
30.5 inch serpentine belt was needed in place of the stock 31 inch belt. With 30.0 inch one would have to disconnect the alternator bracket or the crankshaft pulley to get it on the alternator.
After placing the 30.5 inch belt on, there was at least around 3/4" (19mm) on the left side of the track guide used to adjust the tension of the alternator belt.
