Default Know it alls

since any post with tech info that that isn't backed up by crappy magizines gets locked this will be my last. Learn to read your plugs. Learn how to use use a wide band 02. Learn to read between the crap young kids post and guys that have been doing it since the mid to late 80's. True Honda lovers I'll miss, to the rest, [freak] off.

08 Mugen Si (not far from stock, but a DD)
08 Fit Sport (stock, but my wife and I Love it)
99 Si ( More money than your daddy's worth, any one any time on a winding road)
99 CRV (hauls more wood than your mom)
95 Hatch (swapped, intergra interior, full suspension)
93 EX (swapped, integra interior, rear disc, full interior)

thanks for the support. i love hondas and don't want to leave this site. i may not be always right, but do try to only put up posts that help the original poster, whether it be now or for future mods. I don't post often because I know there are people out there that know far more than I do. I've swappaed sr20det's, numerous hondas ( to name few ) , and built my sport bike to do sub 9 to high 8 quarter times. I know enough to to say that i've taken the plugs out of my 08 Mugen at 1500 miles and can deffinately say it's running rich. If I want to do the necessary mods a Hondata reflesh will cure this. I thought the purpose of a forumn was to share our experience, not dog on the lack of. I'm an adult, not a kid. If you prove me wrong I'll yeild to your knowledge. The only person I have to talk to besides you guys is my wife, and I love her, but she's not quite into it like we are. I like to be proved wrong because it means i'm learning something new. Hopefully i'll help some noob with my gained info. If not, sorry, do your homework and make your own decission. If not i can make 8000 post's saying "right on" and call myself an expert. I also know I can't spell for ****, and don't care.

this was in poor taste. making threads like this is not acceptable in a tech forum. go cry in the general discussion forum, or, another site....

however, i will take the time to address your whining:

first of all, at this point, noone cares what you've done; all of that doesn't change you being a freakin' hard head on this forum. everything was fine until you posted in that spark plug thread, and you know it. it was a ******* move to get in the middle of that, especially with the information you brought to the table.

the problems is, and this goes to everyone too, not just you- when a noob like the banned idiot comes in to a thread, and spouts off INCORRECT information to an impressionable member, is corrected and then you come in and continue the non-sense, you are not showing yourself to be any type of worth to the site, despite your freakin' sport bike exploits or Honda Fit rich condition discovery.

telling a noob that if he/she is an 80 year old, then follow the honda reco's, but otherwise change the stock iridium plugs at minimum of 15k is MISINFORMATION. then you continue to ramble off topic about colder plugs in boost/juice, and 'maybe hotter for NA', blah, blah, asking about engine management, bolt-on's....that is just fluff. just like you including your vehicle list in each post instead of using the signature function. fluff. waste of bandwidth. the guy had a STOCK si and is changing the oil for the first freakin' time. his plugs are a NON-ISSUE for a loooOOooong time until he changes something drastically (like adding boost or something that will really accelerate wear), so don't come in there and suggest to him that he is pushing the limits if he doesn't change them by your supposed "minimum" of 15k on his STOCK and NEW Si.

GTFO

this forum has had enough of the misinformation. i've been on here as "builthatch" for 6 years, overall since the site's inception and i can tell you that as each gen comes out, and a subforum is created, there is more and more bullshit spread around than the last time. this particular 8th gen subforum is the worst of them all. i want sound reasoning, solid info, etc to backup some of this stuff that is being spread. i backed up what i said re: the spark plugs by experiences with now 3 daily driver k20's and also, more importantly, the information that is presented to you by honda, which, most often than not, is IDEAL despite what quasi-experts like you claim. this forum is about ideas, gaining knowledge, sharing experiences and not making false claims to impressionable young people.
