Storing your car in a tent for winter? Anyone try it?
I guess i'm somewhat overly cautious because I am already trying to figure out a cost effective way to store my car next winter. I live in Maine and the winters up here are extremely brutal, talking like an accumulated 6 ft of snow atleast, after all is said and done, melted, snowed, snowed, melted a little, snowed more.. etc etc.
Anyways I saw a guy up the road who stores his yacht in a big ***, heavy duty canvas shelter that has a zipper on the front like a tent. And That got me thinking, hmm, maybe Ill buy one of those. Then I also started thinking, it would definitely be more cost effective to get a heavy duty camping tent to store my del sol in. This way I could take her out, drive her up the street a little every now and then, then drive her back in and zip her up.
Has anyone tried this before? I thought it was a pretty genius idea.
