Default help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i have an 2002 accord i have just put in a short ram intake a week ago and today i put in a throttle body spacer. After installing the spacer, the rpm gauge stays above idle when in drive or reverse and when in park the rpm gauge jumps up and down and my car starts to shake.....What do i do? whats wrong?

Sounds like you have a vacuum leak. Check the gaskets on both sides of the spacer and make sure they are sealing properly. FYI That spacer isn't going to do much for you, trust me I had one. It only increases intake plenum volume, no big bonus. And it makes a louder whistle sound, if you bought one of the helix ones.

Did you use 2 new gaskets when you put the spacer in? And did you make sure that the throttle body and intake manifold gasket surfaces where clean and free of dirt & oil?

To check for leaks,Start the car, With one hand turn the throttle until you get a steady idle then slowly, one side at a time, spray carb/throttle body cleaner around the gasket seams. If your idle drops or changes then you have found the leak. You won't be able to feel any air seeping out it is leaking going the other way. Air is seeping in.

If you don't find any leaks there are two other things to look at.
1. Make sure you re-connected any vacuum lines and
2. That you didn't swap the TPS and MAP sensor connectors. The MAP sensor is on top and the TPS is on the back side of the throttle body.
