ive got a ls bottom end that i am intending to build, and i wanted to use my gsr oil pan..... i bought a GSR oil pick up because i heard you needed it, but it seems to have a different way of bolting up than the LS. it almost looks like the LS pick up is deeper than the GSR.....isnt the GSR pan supposed to be the deeper one??

 

LS and b16 pick ups are the same size. gsr is longer for the deeper pan. they all bolt up to the pump the same way.

 

so why does my LS one look like its deeper than the GSR......??!?!?

 

it may be due to the fact that the gsr one bolts up to the gsr girdle* which sits deeper then a regular LS main cap. So with that, now after rethinkin it, I'm not sure which one you'd have to use. (it's hard to picture this stuff in my head)

 

i can take pictures, do i need to get the girdle from a gsr to use the pickup?
