extrange dust on the intake manifold

Default extrange dust on the intake manifold

can someone tell me what can be the cause for this???


i did an ls vtec swap and when done, i started it for like 5 mins only bcuz i only had the headers on so i turnd it off cuz i couldnt hear *****. couple of months pased, (i didnt had funds to finish it all) i took off the intake manifold and dats what i found... looks like wood dust or something....thanks in advance

if it wasnt started for a couple months then maybe the leftover gas from starting it before rusted up in there??

maybe... cuz it haz like small bubbles. and it does kinda look like rust. the thing is dat i wanted to know if there is something wrong with the engine since it was knockin a lil but i couldn hear well
