Default zc tranny vs si tranny?

i plan on doing a sohc(maybe dohc since no sohc are in stock at hmotors) swap into my 91 crx si.

from what i understand it is a direct bolt on swap, same distributer and ecu. does that also include the transmission? because my tranny has a few grinds (reverse and also second when driving hard) and the clutch is going bad. so basically, if it will bolt on directly i will just have my si one rebuilt. if not then i will just wait and order the tranny with the engine.

Si without a doubt will yield better acceleration.

however, you might want to google ZC with Si final drive..

Any zc or d series engine will bolt right up to your trans.

True.. but the 88 trans is a bit of a black sheep in the clutch department.

for syncros I would try hondaautomotiveparts.com and maybe do some searching.

It's best to replace the whole "sleeve set" and dont be surprised if the gear is slightly chewed up as well.

well i found some synchros, at least i think, but i am confused as to why it says 3-4 and 5 and thats it. also, WHY IS IT SO DANG EXPENSIVE! whats the point in rebuilding if the new one is about 1/10th the prce of ordering the tranny with the zc...
