Spoon calipers with OEM donut spare
I got a 1995 Civic EJ1 coupe with a JDM ITR 5 lug. I also maintain the 5 lug ITR OEM donut spare tire in my trunk. I want to go with Spoon calipers in the future.
Will the donut spare clear the Spoon caliper should I ever get a flat tire???

yeah that's the proper way to do it anyhow,
you'll want the donut furthest away from most of the weight.
such as if you're left front blows. put it on the right rear, so you can minimize the load on that donut.
i saw someone yesterday driving with a donut on the freeway in the front passing me at 140km/h i wouldn't even want to know what would happen if that donut blew. as its rated for 80km/h if i'm not mistaken

that makes no sense lol just jack up one side of the car and switch back to front and put the spare on the rear, main reason for putting the spare on the rear on the itr is because of the lsd and most of the performance tires we run are directional anyways.

its not itr specific its just in general, your minimizing the load on the donut itself.
such as the whole left side, including driver. but if you want to do it itr related than yeah lsd

Thanks for all the replies. The last time I ever had a flat tire was something like 5 years ago. You guys actually brought up a couple of aspects that I never considered...............mostly having the LSD. I have a Quaife ATB LSD.
