Default OBD2 distributor gsr question??

I was recently told by a shop that my distributor went bad, thats why my check engine light is on. Now, im new to the honda scene and I know I have a obd2 gsr motor in my hatch. So do I need to get the specific obd2 distributor like a obd2a or a obd2b or as long as its a obd2 dizzy? Or can I just get any GSR distributor and convert it to the one I need? Thanks in advance.

you can convert but it's extra money unless you cut wires...
obd2a=96-99
obd2b=00-01

i'd say the light is on because of the rotor or cap or wire or plug...not the dizzy itself
