I wasnt sure which forum to put this stupid question in so ill shout it here...

Does the metal casing of a cigarette lighter get hot when u push the lighter in or does it stay pretty cool? I ask because ive made a new center console from wood and im covering it with vynil so i dont want the lighter to burn or melt n e thing.

lol trust me i would have been the first to test it but i have no cig light in my car n havent bought on yet to put in

 

oh i see.. well im not about 2 go put my finger in the cig lighter but i would assume honda was smart enough to put sum sort of insulation or sumthing 2 keep it from getting 2 hot. gl
