coolant coming out of the dipstick?
i pulled the motor out of my integra and went to put it in my del sol. when i pulled the motor i changed the head gasket. now its in the sol and i was filling up the radiator and after a while it started to come out of the dipstick? can anyone shed some light. did i put the head gasket in wrong or wut?
i would have to say you did. or you might have over torqued the bolts and blew the gasket accidently. either way, you should change it again.
You will need to open that engine. I would drain the coolant and the coolant. Then drain the coolant in the crankcase with an oil siphon. I drain the oil and pull the oil pan as well. You do not want to emulsify coolant with your oil. As said above, the head gasket must be leaking.
same problem...just re-assembled my motor...and it drove fine...i checked my oil today and on my dipstick my oil lucked watery. so now im mixing coolant with my oil..any help?
i drained out all of the coolant pulled the head off put a new headgasket in put the head on but this time i left the drain plug out and once again its goin into the oil pan? i torqued the head to 22 ft lbs then agian to 63(wut i was told to do in two steps/stages) so is there any honses that could be backwards or sometin?
