Default new to the crx...please help

Alright well i just bought a 88 crx HF with a motor in need of rebuilding (not going to use it anyways) for $300 from a friend of mine. The body is in GREAT condition except for a fender that got damaged that was partly my fault anyways lol. Well my question is what years of the crx are the parts interchangeable? Can i use 89+ fenders on my crx? same goes for the bumpers, are the bumpers ever any different from one another really? Thanks everyone

88-91 CRX fenders are the same, most all body parts except the doors.
Doors with seat belts on them are different from doors w/o seat belts.

88-89 fenders are the same and 90-91 fenders are same...its the corner lights that are different 88-89 have screws holding them in and the 90-91 dont

the front bumper are different too...88-89 bumpers are the same and the 90-91 are the same

and the seats are different too...the 88 has a different drivers seat then the rest of them do

and the 88 also doesnt have a clutch sayty switch..so you can start the car with out pushing in the clutch

Sorry chief. 88-91 fenders are the same. The difference you are talking about is the plastic clips that hold the corner lights which can be removed and swapped. In fact, when you buy a new fender from honda it does not come with the clips.

The only real difference in the bumpers is the HF bumpers are lighter than the si an dx bumpers also the Si is the only model crx with rear disc brakes, but you could change out the trail arms an maybe the brake lines an converet over to disc brakes, an then the si is the only one with a sunroof which adds weight anyways so yea, those are pretty much the main differences though between all the crx's
