Alright, I am having this issue with my car and now I am starting to lose my patience, I dont know what it is. I know its hard to help me without seeing or hearing what is going on but if you have any suggestions, it might help. So, recently changed the dizzy, a week ago, and about three days ago the car started acting up. First, it starts bogging, like ill hit a bump and the car will start bucking, dont know why. Then the next day, i was going to leave work and the car started, but didn't want hold idle, so i started it agin and gave it gas and it was breaking up all through the RPM Range and blue smoke was pouring out of the exhaust, never done that before. I finally got it running and now every time i hit it bump, it will bog real bad then pick back up like nothing happened. now today, the car was doing that the entire way to work. if i wasnt giving it anything more than half throttle or constant acceleration, it will do it, buck and bog real bad, and not just here or there, but the entire time you just cruising at like, 65 or 70; and Im not anywhere near VTEC so i kniow im not tipping it...but when i give it hard gas like i was trying to get somewhere quick, its perfectly fine, accelerates perfectly. Anyone know what the hell it could possibly be? Grounding out somewhere? maybe a fuel issue? Thanks in advance.

 

Do you have access to a distributor that you know works? If the car was fine before you changed it and now there is a problem, that is where I would start.

 

Thats what another buddy of mine told me too, but its blowing blue smoke when i give it gas while sitting still. I give it gas because otherwise it will idle really rough at like 200 or 300 RPMs and would eventually stall...but it starts right up so i didn't think it would be a spark issue...i could be wrong though, have been before.

 

Check your wiring. It sounds like a connection is loose. Are you throwing any codes?
