Default gauge light colors...

Quick question...

Are all JDM gauge clusters orange in color when they are lit up? Also, the 99-00 SI cluster is orange... Am I missing anything? I'm thinking about putting a GSR (non-itr) into my DX Coupe... I'm trying to get a nice high redline, without going to orange lighting. Thanks for the input!

you can replace those bulbs in the rear of the cluster with high intensity LED ones made from Nichia BS2 LEDs, which have an output of 5800 mcd.

I take it you meant "... not the cluster..." ? Yes, Yes, my child... there will be a high reving motor dropped in soon enough. Hence, my looking into a different gauge cluster.

Alright... Are we talking about the bulbs from the GSR cluster? I guess I just do a google search on the Nichia BS2 LEDs, and I'm not sure what the 5800 mcd means. thanks for the input though!

sorry to bring up this old post but, i recently bought led's and modified them to fit in the original bulbs that i have on my cluster. i was hoping for the deep/rich red color like the audi's but came out kinda pink making look real ugly. well. there goes 30-40 bux in led's. any thoughts on how to do this?
