The recall would be to fix a valve in the cars engine bay which could potentially be fatal. In a statement released by Honda today, 96-05 Civics as well as the 94-01 Acura Integras are being recalled for a faulty valve that could release harmful emissions into the passenger compartments... Leading to asphyxiation or possibly death....

i dont know how legit this is but if you guys dont trust his link, i found the site thru the honda website. go to http://automobiles.honda.com/ then click on cutomer relations, then on " visit the owners page, then on "owner link website", then on "view recall information".

dude there the same link..... https://www.ahm-ownerlink.com/SEO/HondaRecall.asp the o.p. just cut out all the b.s. on how to get to it and posted up the link instead of a tutorial on how to get there
but like i said i doubt its so serious that ppl are gonna dying in their civics. Or else something would have been said about it by now
Still waiting on someone to join the site or watever and post more info on exactly what is the cause of the recall other than " a valve in the engine bay that could potentially be fatal " Cause i have no idea what valve it could be....

yea what if we do

Though I can't get anything but a page asking me to join the site (which I already did years ago) through the link the OP posted, it looks like my '98 EX coupe, my boyfriend's '97 CX hatch and my sister's Integra are all still up to date on any recalls. I had one (floormat), his had two (floor mat and airbags) and hers had none. The last ones were from 1999 for both Civics.
same here with the floormat recall from 99, maybe I should get factory floormats then have that retainer put in. I bought a honda fourwheeler back in 02 so I've had an acct. with honda finance then they came out with the owner link so I added in the car which is really cool for honda to do that and imo other manufacturers should take a note and do the same thing.
Also I have a 95 ford truck that needed the cruise control fix where they would go bad and allow brake fluid to enter the hot switch and allow the vehicle to catch on fire so I got on ford's website but they didn't list anything for my truck so called their 800 number and the lady tells me they only go back 10 yrs
and that for me to call my dealership for further assistance so I called them in the morning and they said to bring it on over.
ford
honda

No they aren't. By law, an automobile manufacturer must produce replacement parts for a vehicle for a minimum of 10 years after they cease production of said vehicle. Meaning, they couldn't begin to discontinue parts until at least 2011.
