adjust the hood latch to be lower as well as the rubber bumbers to sit lower on each front corner.

Mine does the same damn thing.

Is it the original OEM hood? Pretty sure the previous owner replaced the hood at some point and didn't go OEM on mine, so the front fits like ***.

seems to be a common problem. my ej8 did it a little bit to, all oem parts never wrecked.

yeah it's a OEM hood, there was a dent in the hood that i had on it before. so maybe something is out of alignment?

Try adjusting the hood mounts. Seems like you need to pull the hood back a bit and mess around with the latch too.

Can you not read or just not comprehend what you read? O.P. already stated it was a OEM hood.

yea be careful the ek has like a mid model slight body mod between 96-98 and 99-00 also i would bet there is always a possibility of a mix up between 2 and 4 door models or even hatch idk either worst come to worse just grab a cf hood an be done with it lol thats what i did

i'm sure it's from a hatch but not 100% sure on whether it came form a 96-98 or a 99-00.

when you open the hood there are 2 screws that is hold the latch.
unscrew it and take a flat head with hammer and bang it around to move it.

here is my after market hood. the hood is kinda still out of line.
i get a closer pic later

No, it's the right hood.

Try pulling up on your front bulkhead. Take the bumper off and where the upper grill is, bend that metal piece up slightly. Sometimes it will get bent if you are leaning on it while working in the engine bay.
