i have been working on this thing for a while but decided maybe i should start a build thread. i just picked up this 93 si hatch. the goals for this car are 11 sec pass and 400 whp dyno.

after getting the car i pulled the motor to clean it up, clean the bay up a bit . i had tp to a powerstearing delete and remove cruise control. i did a minor wire tuck.. just the headlight harneses. here are some pics of the progress.



got the bay all taken apart and nearly everything removed. long process of cleaning sanding and prepping. also sanded and primed the fenders door and bumpers






then after a **** load of sanding and prepping the car here is primer

before any bashing is put out there about not taking out the brake booster and such this painjob for just the bay was to make it look better. i didint want it perfect for the bay but the rest of the car will be perfect. this is why i went with a single stage paint for the bay. now that is primed there is more sanding and prepping then a fresh coat of paint!
this is the first coat and you will either love or hate the color. its a light brighter in the pics than in in person.

lol i love cookies thanks!. and ryan im not sure i have seen the mazworx car so i dont know the color. its differnet for around here and i like it. and for 1992si i will have a cage put it later in the season. after i get the boot anyway.

i will be getting money soon josh so here comes the gt30 and a NepTune!
and ryan i plan on doing the cage the same color. i have the interior stripped and i will be sanding and painting the inside the same color as well.

the pistons are fine, thats the way they are...they are cast not forged. i am the one that built the block.

thanks man! i cant wait to see it go down the track to see what it will do!.
