Default need help car wont go past 3k

I just got a swap done in my teg just a stock obd2 LS. The problem is it wont rev over 3k and sometimes it does. Everything is stock besides headers and intake but besides that I am running a obd2-1 harness with a obd1 ecu wont this cause the problem or no? BTW it isnt throwing any codes as well.

i never said you had vtec, I said soemtimes when vtec wont engage its due to low oil. perhaps your car has low oil and wont allow you to rev past 3k rpm?

have you checked your oil? when was the last time you had it changed?

or maybe you dont have enough pressure to press the gas pedal all the way down?

yea you could always check your throttle cable....
if not timing make sure your grounds are good if it is an on and off thing
