Default Looking for Ground Control Advance Design Aluminum Shock Mounts

I recently bought a used set of Advance Design shocks for my Integra and the seller threw in a pair of GC aluminum mounts. These are damn nice units with pretty firm bushings and weigh about half the stock units.

I want another pair for the rears but, unfortunately, GC no longer make them. Anybody know of another source or have a set they want to sell?

They are nice.

I know someone with a set, but they won't sell them... if they were, I'd have already bought them.

Are you talking about the upper mounts?

The rears are different from the fronts, aren't they?

If they're anything like the GC Upper mounts on my NSX (simple billet plate with a few studs through it), you could probably get any machine shop to make some for you, especially if you had some to copy.

I think the fronts and rears are the same. I guess I could get a machine shop to do it. Probably cost $1m in the Bay Area though.

If this is a mostly track/race car, you could get mounts w/ spherical bearings, or as people like to call them, pillowball mounts.

dude...the advance designs are designed to work with the stock upper mount....just go to acura and get some stock ones....I've called GC about these multiple times....or maybe you and I are talking about two different things....but if it's the place where the spring goes....the stock one can be used

I think he's just looking for them because he likes them.

They're aluminum and anodized red like the Advance Design shocks. They're nice, but no, it's not functionally different than stock.

I don't have the stock upper mounts (sold them years ago). Replacement stock mounts would be about $100 from a dealer for the parts for all four corners, which seems like a waste of $100 to me.

Was hoping someone would have some GC mounts lying around - but people who have these tend to keep them.

You only need 2 for the rear, right? So that's only $25 each corner so that you can use your AD coilovers. What's the problem here? Have you asked around about having some custom aluminum mounts made? I don't think they should cost that much for a disk of aluminum with three holes drilled in it. I bet for the right price Ground Control will custom make another pair for you.
