Default eBay Coilovers... Suggestions, Comments, Flaming, All welcome!

My question is, did I just waste 60 hard earned bucks on a P.O.S. Spring Set? Or is this still do-able and I can lower my car? and I know it's not the best picture but what do I need to do to install these? I have an idea of how to install them but i'm really new at this. But first of all let me let you know it is stock, I have a strut tower bar for show, and an intake for the same reason. I dont want to put too much work into it until I get a new engine (JDM B18 GS-R!!!) So if its not too much too ask, I could use step by step intructions on how to install them. But anything will help, Suggestions, Comments, or even Flaming but only if it's constructive in some way shape or form.

good luck if you live around bumpy areas.i suggest use them now and save up for some better springs or coilovers.

FYI, there is no "JDM GS-R" they are called Si VTEC and SiR-G, 0BD1 and 0BD2 respectively

yeah. just like everyone else is saying... the ride may not be comparable to a higher end suspension setup but it will be livable. I had some dropzone coilover sleeves from ebay on stock shocks for about a year and it wasnt really too bad. still a bit bouncy but what would you expect from an el cheapo product.

I'va had ebay coilovers on my 2000 civic for a year now on completely stock suspension with no camber kit and I'm pretty satisfied. The ride is kinda rough but it looks good and gets the job done. I will upgrade soon but they are ok for now.

Well they work, but make sure you don't blow your stock struts (which WILL likely happen) but any coilover will do this to stock struts. They work, but they never are of decent stiffnesses. If you like them keep them, but upgrade and you will feel it immediately. Worth every penny for gc or s2 imho. I've ridden on both.

I had Ebay coilovers on my 94 Integra LS, and since, I've sold that, bought an EK hatch, and also bought a $1200 set of Tein Super Sreets with upper pillowball mounts.

I think you'll be alright as long as you dont SLAM your car, I had my Integra slammed, and the OEM shocks blew out with a quickness.

if you're just trying to lower you car then they work fine. just get a decent set of struts and you'll be good.

id say only temporary..... buy some good suspension! i have gone several cheap routes and wasted money that way. suspension is worth spending a grand on at least! just remember suspension is something that is always working unlike other modifications. no matter how you drive your always going to feel the suspension.
