I just finished my interior swap for my car, everything was perfect except the windshield wipers wont turn off
it stays at one speed and if i try to change it, it still goes the same speed. so i got pissed off and took them off, but i can still hear the motor and stuff. so does anyone know whats wrong? or how i can turn off the motor? also the climate control works fine but it wont go to cold or hot because the button is broken, but if you look inside you can see that its on hot and my heater wont go on
so right now i think its in the middle? because the air doesn't feel cold or hot. Does anyone know how i can fix that? There was a plug in the center console that i didn't plug in, it was a green harness and i couldn't find where to plug it in, does anyone know?
thanks

had the same problem, first check the fuse. if it isnt that which it probably isnt then you made the same mistake i did. u left the windshield wiper swtich on, and then connected the battery which caused it to fry the chip and as a result is not stuck in that same speed.
i just got another wiper switch and the problem went away.

oh.. so the only thing i can think of with the climate control is that you didnt connect the little cable in the back to moves the temperature, cuz i didnt do that at first either.
as for the harness, i dont know, i would have to take a look at my car to see wats up.

Yeah i remember seeing that little cable thingy but i dont know where to put it. im interested in the following parts if you have it, the trunk carpet in black, the trunk board if its in good condition and if its a coupe the door panel pocket things in black.
This happened to me too when i converted my tan to black interior. when I changed the dash, it broke the switch. All you have to do is get a new switch or simply remove the wiper switch and that should stop the motor from running, BUT when it rains you wont have any way of wiping your windshield. So I advise you to get a new switch. should be fairly cheap.
you just take off the screws on the top of it behind the steering wheel. not sure if you have to take out the steering wheel, I believe you dont, but just pop off the covers behind the steering wheel and take the screws (phillips) off and pull the switch out and disconnect it. you should be able to find one anywhere, junkyards, or from that guy that is salvaging out parts from the LS that left you a post above. gluck

i have the trunk carpet. by trunk board you mean the one that goes on top of the spare tire? cuz i dont have that. and im not parting out the panel components, im selling the whole door panel as a whole. the passenger side is an LS door panel and the driver side is a GSR door panel.
