Default OT: But somewhat enjoyable... Teardown of 4G63 (DSM) motor (Pics)

Ok, so its not really ITR related, but lotsa technical folks here will get a good chuckle.

I start tearing down the engine out of my Talon to put in my built motor (have a few of the engines), and could not believe my eyes when I popped off the head and disassembled it.

Its not that I really care, cuz I'm not using any of it.. was just bored and wanted to figure out why it wasn't running right... where to start.

Oh, and for the record.... I put a whole 2 miles on this car (IE, it had 130k on it, I just bought it and drove it home.).. so don't gimme that, "What do you do to your cars" crap.

The car has ~130k miles on it. This is how it was when I bought it... I just needed an AWD 5spd car... and this was the one I found. I knew the engine had problems and the clutch was gone, I really didn't care. Was good enough to get me home.

I'm guessing tranny fluid in the oil for some odd reason, which might explain everything in red... and not the proper octane fuel might contribute to the valves.

*shrugs*
