Default What are these Two "Wires" for?

I have an 88 Civic(STD)(swapping an ls into), and i just sent in my wiring to rywire; everything hooks up but there are two "wires/harness' that i dont know what they're for and were they go.
One is the frontside of my tranny underneath the barcodes (its kinda underneath the bolt housing, that are in a triangle shape.)(which is hydro) and one is on the firewall and was hooked up on the backside of my old tranny (it kinda looks like a temp guage input) on the back of the ls tranny, there is an input, but the input is a "harness", and i can't seem to find another "harness" to input into that one.
I cant upload a pic right now, sorry(not sure why)
Thanx for ur help- Peace

since that speedo cable is an "input/male" my ls has a "harness" input on the back of that tranny, how will it hook up? to the new hydro tranny...

I agree. I just took a bunch of stuff apart on my brothers car today getting it ready to remove the engine, Those are what I remember them looking like as well.

he has the vss in trans, he needs vss plug and then wire up to ECU if he is going obd1 or u can just swap the vss from your cable trans in or get one if u don't have one. Been covered so many times
