Default Help: PCV Valve is stuck

Hi All. I recently picked up a 94 LS Teg and wanted to some maintenance on it since it came with no history. I'm in the middle of replacing the PCV valve, but the cursed thing won't come out. I can turn it and everything but I've yanked on it (with pliers and all) to a point I'm afraid if I yank any harder it will break. I've also tried WD40 it to no avail.

Anyone have any suggestions?

BTW, mine is a LS so the PCV valve is on the IM underneath the injectors.

Thanks.

it wont come out becase the rubber grommet holding it in is probably hard and brittle from being old. you gotta keep pulling at it. it might brake on you but you should be able to get it out.

try spraying some penatrating fluid around the base of the valve and let it soak a little then try wiggling it out.

x2. if you pull the wrong thing and break it, you're SOL. if you pull the PCV valve and you break it... that's like a $15-20 part. ask me how i know.

Just in FYI on the PCV and the rubber grommet. That peice they call the rubber grommet is one whole peice.(tube) If it is part of the breather chamber that you are talking about, the peice will be part number (11855-P30-000 TUBE A, PCV) and then what sits on top of that is the PCV(.008 17130-PM6-G01 VALVE ASSY., PCV)

I will get both parts to be on the safe side and also get part number 005 11856-P30-000 TUBE B, PCV. Unless you can cut the tube and reuse it. When I changed the PCV, I also got the PCV tube and once it goes in-it is in and not coming out unless you cut it.
