My wife drives a 1990 Accord EX. It's had this problem for a short while now. Not all the time, but a couple times a day we'll start it up and take off. It lags no matter how far down you press the gas pedal. Then after a while it snaps out of it and the engine light comes on. One thing I figured out is that if you let go of the gas and hit it again real quick it'll snap out of it sooner.

It had a couple other problems that were recently fixed by a Honda/Acura specialist and this was supposed to be one of them. Main relay, distributor cap, distributor o-ring, tube seals for spark plugs, valve cover seal, condensor fan, radiator cap, and speed sensor.

We get it back and it's still doing the lagging/check engine light thing. Any ideas?

Look for a two pin connector on the right kick panel on the passenger side.
Use a paper clip, or an AMP male connector jumper. [image]
Turn the ignition to ON (II.)



The check engine light and/or D4 will blink a code when the
service check connector is jumped (shorted) with a set of jumper pins.
