Default New guy...advice?

I've loved Hondas ever since I first saw them, and I've loved them for years. I am about to purchase my first Teg. I know engines, and the basics, but after reading these forums I realize there are a million other things I have to learn. Where do you all learn this stuff? A friend that owned one? Getting your own and just tinkering with it? I dont want to buy a used Teg and not know what is wrong with it, etc. Any advice on how to get truly educated? Anything would be appreciated.

ask yourself why do you want to learn? passion to know how to do your things yourself and not pay someone? that's what it is for me...i want more power and am constantly reading and asking questions about particular subjects...focus on one thing at a time with money you have at hand and you will be fine

i agree with all of these answers. none of us are genious' (sorry to the few that might be) but most of the time you can figure some things out by "tinkering" around with your own car, as you put it. and don't forget to use the search button every chance you can.
