Default 4th and 5th gen radiators

I have a 4th gen and i plan on getting a new radiator and was just curious to know if i bought a 5th gen radiator will need to get different hoses or would they match up? basically are the radiators the same? haha

the hoses are the same. however, the 5th gen rad. is slightly wider. you will have to modify one of the top brackets or just use one. the bottom mounts also will not line up with the supports. you could move and reweld it in the correct location or if you do not care how it looks, you can make a bracket . I made mine out of metal strap used for radio installation. The only reason I bought a 5th gen rad is cause my buddy sold me his barely used Fluidyne for half the price. I would say get the one that fits though. It does not look that great without the factory top brackets.

yeah i bought a 5th gen sh radiator( koyo racing full size radiator), and i had to reweld the bottom brackets. I also modifed the top brackets to fit on the top rad. post. Mine looks pretty good, stock looking. I love it!
