CUSTOM EXHAUST!!!
SO, this is the deal. I have an 89 EF hatch ls/v w/Hytech header, no cat, and I want to use the Greddy EVO II exhaust, but I do not want the 4 90 degree bends that an EF's exhaust has. I want to get the evo 2 exhaust from another honda, use the initial straight section (one with resonator), hang the muffler in correct position and have custom piping ran between the two. My question is this: Does anyone know which Honda exhaust would have the initial straight piece that would be the closest to fit in the EF exhaust channel? I'm sure it would be too long, but I do know some have weird bends in the channel. Please help!!!!
Use the Greddy Muffler and have a good Exhaust/Muffler shop build the rest if you live in Socal 626 area you can use Mikes Muffler in El Monte CA I have used them for years they will and can do anything.

OK 2,169 miles Im feeling you. But you cant tell me that in the Wonderful state of great old GA, that there isnt a muffler shop any where near by that does custom work, would save you a big headache in trying to make something fit that just dont and it would look cleaner. Even if you had to travel 100 miles. Just a thought!

I have seen custom exhausts on other EF's ran this way.

Thanks, I appreciate that. I might have to take you up on that offer.

I was just thinking that the bends will restrict flow, regardless of mandrel bends. Another thing is that I really love the sound of the EVO II, and I wasn't sure it would sound the same with the EF version of the EVO. I have never heard an EF's exhaust sound good, and I don't want mine to add to that list.
