Default new clutch question ??

whats up all?

I have a 2000 Civic Si with I/H/E and about 75K miles. I need to replace my clutch and i was wondering if i would benefit from something better than an OEM replacement. Also i was considering picking up a lightened flywheel from my friend. Would the ACT 8.8lb flywheel be to light for everyday use or should i stick with the 12.5lb?

Thanks!

Anything more than an OEM replacement clutch kit is a waste of your money unless your planning on going turbo or doing a built NA setup. Buy a good OEM replacement clutch kit and spend the extra money on something else.

Here we go with the flywheel debate again. I daily drive a 7.5lb flywheel and love it. I have NO driveability issues. I started with a OE flywheel then went to a 11lb then to a 7.5lb aluminum. The lighter the flywheel the more I liked it. I wouldn't ever consider going back to a heavier flywheel. More power, better response, better gas mileage, easier to match revs on downshifts, etc, etc.
