Default Accord started running rough out of nowhere!

Took my momma to work, drove home. Nothing out of the ordinary. Then I fired up the car to go over to a friends house and the car ran like it had a miss.

No oil in coolant, no coolant in oil. No steam or strange exhaust out tailpipe. Does not overheat. Doubt it's head gasket related.

No CEL. Not oxygen sensor?

Seems to somewhat smooth out after 2Krpms, but its noticable, very noticable at idle....but idle on tach is very stable. ???

Seems to become worse as you try to accelerate... seems down on power.

waht could it be? Im confused as hell!

try the spark plugs, when did you replace them last? try checking continuity in the plug wires, make sure not to overlook the simple stuff, spark, fuel, timing etc.

I'm thinking it might be a spark plug/spark wire... but supposedly the car had a full tune up about three months ago when I bought it. Could be a fluke plug or wire.

Hmmm... MAP sensor?

Hmmm... MAP sensor? These don't have MAFs since they're speed density, right?

Anyone might have an idea?

I had a problem similar to this on my old altima... turns out there was a little hole in one of the 2 center spark plugs... deffinately check the spark plugs. just look very closely i checked my plugs a few times and missed it then i took it to my mechanic and he caught it. a very small hole could do it.

Check cap and rotor, spark plug wires and spark plugs. Sounds like an ignition problem, but I could be wrong if it is related to the map sensor.

Also it could be ignitor if your rpm gauge is acting up, too.

Mine started doing the same thing recently.. I still haven't fixed the problem.. I'm gonna go get a Cap and Rotory button and see if that helps it..

I checked spark plug/wire assembly by pulling the wire out to check each cylinder...turned out #2 was the culprit.

I changed all the spark plugs, no change. Must be the wire i thought, so I replaced them with new ones and the problem went away. I had a bum spark wire in cylinder #2!
